26.08.09: I have some really lovely new pics of Buddy Boy but I am unable to upload them at present. I know a few people are having the same problem, so I hope the Piczo Crew are able to resolve it shortly. Watch this space.... ! x

Yeeeeaaah, we can go walkies!!! Buddy is not very adept with the lead, he chose to sit and stubbernly freeze while I tried to walk. However, when we got to the green (after some carrying that I relented to, much to Alan's dismay), we let him run around, and he loved it. Ralph the Doberman & Mollie the Boarder Collie came to say hi, and Buddy absolutely loved them. It was such a pleasure to watch. We are taking him to Puppy Pre School on Thursday for him to meet and play with other pups. We can't wait & are certain by the way he has reacted to the other dogs so far, that he we love it. I am taking my camera so will hopefully update My Photos and the Watch Me Grow pages soon.

Today has been a particularly hard day as Alan's dad lost his devoted Staffy, Jay. He had been an incomparable companion for the last 12 years and has left a big void. RIP Jay xx

Buddy had his 2nd trip to the vet today & although he is still not great at travelling in the car, he wasn't sick at all this time and dribbled much less than before. He was a little nervous on arrival at the surgery but the vet was lovely, and made a big fuss of him, and certainly by the time we left his tail was wagging and he actually seemed quite excited!!
He is becoming such a little bruiser; he weighed in at 4.69kg today which is a whole 1.12kg more than at his last visit, 2wks ago!!!
He is such a little star & took the injection like a man again, with not even a whimper (so not really like a man at all, only joking, lol).
I'm not sure whether it is down to having had his injection, or maybe just the heat but he has seemed particularly calm today, laying down & catching 40winks at every opportunity, really just rousing himself to eat his dinner and take a little fuss ... it's a dog's life!!
He is such a little sweetheart, I can't believe he's been with us over 3wks already. Only 1 week left to go until we can go for a walk, yeeaaay!

Wow, I'm sorry I've not been by for a few days, this having a puppy lark is as committing as having a baby - my time is wrapped up in him, and we love every minute of it ... even the ironing has taken a back seat and is piling up nicely :-( xx Buddy is growing in size & confidence and is such a little star - we went to the vet on Wednesday for his 1st injection and some worming powder. She was very impressed with him and gave him lots of fuss which worked wonders in distracting him as she gave him his injection, he was a little and apprehensive at being somewhere different, but was absolutely fine & didn't even yelp when he had his jab. She weighed him in at 3.57kg. We go back in 2wks for his 2nd round and then we only have a week to wait before we can walk him x
